喬世璋教授在天津大學化工系獲得學士和碩士學位,香港科技大學獲得博士學位。曾在新加坡南洋理工大學任研究員,澳大利亞昆士蘭大學先後任博士後、研究員、高級研究員及副教授。現為澳大利亞阿德萊德大學化工學院納米技術首席教授。
喬世璋教授在矽、碳、金屬氧化物孔材料、氧化物單晶合成及其在生物分離、催化、燃料電池、太陽能電池研究領域取得了令人矚目的成績。作為通訊聯系人,在《自然》、《美國化學會志》、《德國應用化學》、《先進材料》等期刊發表超過一百三十篇論文,引用超過2700次,擁有3項國際專利。近五年,其研究獲得澳大利亞研究理事會及昆大三百五十多萬澳元的資助,他先後被授予昆士蘭大學研究最高獎(Foundation Research Excellence Award),澳大利亞研究理事會研究員獎和昆士蘭大學中青年研究員獎。2010年獲得中國國家海外及港澳合作基金。
阿德萊德大學是澳大利亞頂尖的八所大學之一(Group 8),喬世璋教授研究組與美國、加拿大、新加坡、澳大利亞、中國等國家的科學家建立了廣泛的研究合作。
