科研方向
Framework chemistry plays important role on developing versatile porous materials for multifunctional applications, such as gas storage, separations, sensors… The controlled assembly of building units affords diverse novel porous metarials, namely Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs), Covalent-Organic Frameworks (COFs) and Hydrogen-Bonded Organic Frameworks (HOFs), featuring exceptional porosity, high modularity and diverse functionality, which shows great promise to address important material, energy and environmental concerns.
In specific, based on well-established design approaches such as framework engineering and post-synthesis modification, the below objectives are involved: a) developing novel porous media like pure organic materials HOFs, especially stable and rigid crystalline materials for adsorptive separations; b); developing novel responsive porous materials for detection of gaseous and volatile chemicals. c) developing porous frameworks-based nano-composites for energy-efficient separation of important chemicals
